Using BookReveal

BookReveal is a reading application that offers a curated catalogue of literary works together with visual scenes and Personal Reveals.

You may use BookReveal for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Accounts

You may begin using BookReveal with an anonymous account. A registered account may be required for purchases, subscriptions, account recovery, and access to certain features across devices.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs through it.

BookReveal is not intended for children under 13. Where local law requires parental or guardian consent at a higher age, that requirement applies.

BookReveal+

BookReveal+ is a paid subscription that provides access to complete BookReveal Editions and an included allowance of Personal Reveals.

The current BookReveal+ offering includes 30 Personal Reveals in each monthly allowance window. Annual subscribers receive this allowance monthly rather than receiving the full annual amount at once. Unused included monthly Reveals do not roll over.

Features, catalogue availability, allowances, and subscription offerings may change over time. The offering shown in the app at the time of purchase controls your purchase.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions and other in-app purchases are processed by the store associated with your device, such as the Apple App Store. BookReveal uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, purchase restoration, and related purchase state.

Store pricing displayed at the time of purchase is authoritative. BookReveal does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your store account before renewal, subject to the rules and timing requirements of the applicable store.

Cancellation, refunds, and restore

You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store account associated with your device. Deleting the BookReveal app or your BookReveal account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.

Refund requests are handled according to the rules of the applicable app store and applicable law. BookReveal does not independently control store refund decisions.

Where supported, the Restore purchases function can be used to restore eligible purchases and subscription entitlements.

Personal Reveals

A Personal Reveal creates a visual interpretation of a passage you select while reading. Generated results can vary and are not guaranteed to match a particular interpretation, character appearance, setting, or artistic expectation.

Personal Reveals depend on automated generation services and may occasionally be delayed, unavailable, or unsuccessful.

Reveal Packs and Reveal balances

Reveal Packs are one-time purchases that add Personal Reveals to your balance. Purchased Reveals do not expire under the current product implementation.

When a Personal Reveal request is accepted, one Reveal may be reserved from your available balance. A successful Reveal consumes that reserved Reveal. If generation reaches a terminal failure, the reserved Reveal is returned to your balance.

Included BookReveal+ Reveals and purchased Reveal Pack balances may be accounted for separately.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use BookReveal for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or infrastructure
• Disrupt, overload, probe, or interfere with the operation or security of the service
• Circumvent purchase, subscription, quota, entitlement, or technical restrictions
• Scrape, resell, or systematically redistribute BookReveal catalogue data or generated content
• Use BookReveal to create, distribute, or facilitate unlawful, abusive, or infringing material
• Reverse engineer the service except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law

Books and catalogue content

BookReveal offers a curated catalogue of literary works selected for the service. Works may be public domain in the United States, but copyright status can differ by jurisdiction.

You are responsible for complying with applicable law in your location. Catalogue titles and BookReveal Edition availability may change over time.

Generated visual content

Visual scenes and Personal Reveals are generated or prepared for use as part of the BookReveal reading experience.

You may view and use generated visual content for your personal, non-commercial use through BookReveal. Except where applicable law provides otherwise, these Terms do not grant a separate right to sell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit BookReveal generated visual content.

Generated visual content may contain inaccuracies, unexpected details, or interpretations that differ from the underlying text.

Intellectual property

The BookReveal name, branding, software, interface, original design elements, and other proprietary material are owned by Logiciels Mixir or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of BookReveal, its software, branding, or proprietary material to you.

Service availability and changes

We work to keep BookReveal available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Features, supported books, Personal Reveal availability, service providers, and other parts of BookReveal may change as the product evolves.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect BookReveal, its users, or its infrastructure, to prevent abuse or fraud, to comply with law, or where these Terms are materially breached.

Account deletion

You can delete your BookReveal account from within the app. Deletion removes your account and associated account data from the active BookReveal service, subject to information that may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the store associated with your device.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BookReveal is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Logiciels Mixir will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of BookReveal.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as BookReveal changes. When the Terms are materially updated, the effective date at the top of this page will also be updated.

Continued use of BookReveal after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer protection or other mandatory laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
